I need you, don't leave
Waking up in fear is not a desirable feeling.
Wrapped up in a tangle of sheets and blankets with pillows astray.
Heart racing as your foggy eyes adjust to the brightening room.
Panic settling as you realize, it was only a dream.
Off and on for the past few years, restless nights have become part of my life. Sometimes it's worse than others, but it's always the same dream. They say nightmares are usually caused by guilt, regret, or fear. Car accident dreams point to an ongoing conflict. Dreaming you are in an accident may suggest you are punishing yourself for something you've said or done because your conscience is bothering you. It could even symbolize a mistake.
They also suggest that the people in your dreams make a difference. But what happens if the person is varying? At first, it was always the same person. But as time went on, the figure became blurry and I wasn't sure who I was dreaming about. Now it's back to the original passenger, but why did it change?
Everyone seems to know how to interpret dreams, but does anyone know how to get rid of nightmares?
I long for nights of peaceful slumber. The only memory of good sleep I have is when I don't remember my dream at all.
Tossing and turning restlessly at night is one of the worst feelings ever and one of my ongoing fears...This is why I may have a slight addiction to Tylenol PM. :\
