I am Kam

I am…
The daughter of two families, a sister to five siblings, born and raised in the Ozarks.
Missing the simpler days of playing in my grandparents garden and not having a care in the world.
A Disney Dolphin, a Cherokee Indian, a Kickapoo Chief.
A DECA officer, a golfer, a hunter, a softball player, who is confident enough to believe I can do something I just failed at.
A friend to most, who tries to be nice to everyone.
A student, who uses every day as an opportunity to learn.
I am…
A Starbucks regular, Gatorade and Dr. Pepper, Chick Fil A and hot wings, gluten free.
Southern hospitality, fall scented candles, big fluffy blankies, crackling fireplaces, white picket fences, proudly hung American flags.
Baseball games, cheering loudly, always supporting, Cardinals loving, baseball obsessed.
Bonfires, hiking, hammocking, exploring, adventuring.
Friday night high school football games, Saturday college football, Sunday Chiefs games.
Republican, big dreams and a small government.
Early mornings in the deer stand, chattering teeth.
A missionary, long flights, full hearted, fulfilling dreams.
I am…
Blue eyes that turn grey depending on the weather, easily tanned skin that always results in funny tan lines.
Bean Boots, flannels, and vests in the fall and winter, shorts, t-shirts, and athletic clothing any other time of year.
17, an age for discovery and newfound independence.
Young and hopeful.

  1. Hi Kam! Thanks for sharing this. You've really captured many aspects of your personality and what you're into. I like what you said about using every day as an opportunity to learn and your conclusion that you are "young and hopeful." What a great place in life to be...

  3. Hey Kam :) "A disney dolphin, cherokee indian, and kickapoo chief." Makes me realize how much we've all grown up and how much we've all really been through. Reminded me of how good of friends we were back in elementary school :)

  4. Good job! I love how you put "an age for discovery and newfound independence." at the end. I can relate to being adventurous and missing the simpler days.
